I’ll admit it. I haven’t been cooking or baking in a couple of weeks now. Blame it on the heat. Or my laziness. I don’t know what it is. I do know that I’m behind on posting about a couple of beers I’ve tried recently. Just in time for Labor Day tomorrow (I’m awesome like that)! Hope ya’ll are having fun this holiday weekend (be safe out there too if you’re trying a few new, good craft beers, ok?).

Tandem Double IPA: Limited Release from Tenaya Creek Brewery in Las Vegas, NV

Tenaya Creek‘s Double IPA Tandem was something I would definitely buy again. A citrusy  draw and slight hint of grapefruit blended well with the hops that a double IPA should have. ABV 9%

Hop Stoopid Ale from Lagunitas Brewing Co. – Petaluma, CA

Lagunitas does it yet again (I promise I haven’t found a beer of theirs I don’t like – or love). I don’t think I could sum up Hop Stoopid any better than what they have: “For those mornings when you have to cut right to the chase, this is the one. Sure to blast through just about anything still lingering from the night before, this mouthful of Hops and huge rich Malt has a guarantee built right into the name!” ABV 8%
